I'm reading the manhwa The Moment When the Fox Became thea Wolf, in which Eun Song, a poor, meek "wallflower" girl swaps bodies with Yoo Ha, a rich, violent delinquent, when both hide in a wardrobe for different reasons. "What is that awful thing I just watched?" you ask? That was the trailer for Snow White: A Deadly Summer, a beautifully bad movie (probably a Direct to DVD one too) that watches like someone got drunk after reading one too many Christopher Pike novels and heard that Snow White is in these days ( Read more... )

(I typed this up before I realized I was going to see Snow White and the Huntsman opening day and hadn't posted it yet because I had to hunt down links and I was being lazy. First of all, may I just say that the new Brave trailer seemed to designed to make me NOT want to watch the movie, as most of the emphasis was on how Merida is Not Like Other Girls and is Super Special and doesn't get along with her mother because her mother wants her to be an icky proper lady and Doesn't Understand Her and her dad is just so much ( Read more... )

Snow is the version of "Snow White" for the "Once Upon A Time" line of YA fairy tale adaptations. (Though not all the tales adapted are typically considered fairy tales.) It's probably the best of the ones I've read so far.

Interesting article on the cinematic history of "Snow White."  With some rather amazing racism in early comments.

10th Kingdom should be there, IMO, but even without it I've still seen most of the ones they show.  I mean, excepting the 2012 ones.  (Anyone heard anything about the Direct to DVD movie?  Is it even out yet?)
